Serving as a direct sequel to last week’s episode, the Duchess Satine coordinated with Anakin Skywalker to have Ahsoka come to Mandalore and teach some courses to the next generations of leaders to ensure they understand the importance of avoiding corruption and holding government officials accountable for their actions. She not only educates, but serves to inspire several of her students to action.
I knew Prime Minister Almec was up to no good, based on the ambiguous ending of last week’s episode, so it came as no surprise that he was revealed as the government official behind the black market profiteering happening on Mandalore.
All in all, after last week’s rather inconsequential episode, this one was much more satisfying as a viewer. Seeing last week as a prelude to it makes it much more palatable. We also got to see Ahsoka take on more of a leadership role, complete with the recklessness that proves her Master Anakin’s undoing.
And oddly enough, I don’t really have that much more to say about this episode, so maybe it wasn’t all that significant after all. But it was fun and well put together.
