Serving as a direct sequel to last week’s episode, the Duchess Satine coordinated with Anakin Skywalker to have Ahsoka come to Mandalore and teach some courses to the next generations of leaders to ensure they understand the importance of avoiding corruption and holding government officials accountable for their actions. This one felt like kind of a fluff piece, or a throw away episode if you’re in the show for the larger picture. Focusing on Mandalore, it features the story of the difficulties the planet is having securing supplies since they are attempting to maintain their neutrality in the Galactic War. Padme Amidala was the most notable figure in the episode, as she went there to see her friend the Duchess Satine. While there, they uncover a smuggling racket that’s proving potentially deadly to the planet’s children.

If Pantora isn’t a nod to ‘Avatar’ then I don’t know what is. Its people may be more technologically advanced, but they’re blue and have tribal markings and their planet is one letter off from the one in James Cameron’s blockbuster. Is Lucas jealous? Possibly the most important battle of the entire war is looming, as the Republic learns that the Separatists are planning an attack on Kamino, the planetary home of the clone army. The attack is headed up by General Grievous and Asajj Ventress, who aren’t the best of friends going into it, much less having to work together. Could this mark the end of the Republics ability to replenish their clone troops?

Long after we first met the five clone troopers that make up Domino Squad in the first season episode “Rookies,” this episode takes us back to just before their graudation. But they’re an unorthodox group, prone to individualization and arguing more than working together as a single unit. Apparently, the strain of Jango Fett’s DNA they have is being strained, and it’s getting harder to produce consistent clones, thus the individualized anomolies that make up Domino.
